Today I had the opportunity to attend the Campsie Food Festival. Each year approximately 15,000 people crowd the streets and enjoy an array of music, entertainment, cooking demonstrations, and cuisine from all around the world.
While wandering around shortly after arriving, I spotted Walter Mason, author of Destination Saigon, who most graciously informed me about the poffertjes stand. As a regular at the Dutch Festival, my little heart was leaping with joy – as it should’ve had Oranje won last year’s football World Cup final.
